Our farmhouse is located in the vicinity of four larger, better-known places as Langres, Chaumont, Nancy and Dijon. To the east the Vosges begin. To the south the Burgundy region. On your way to our farmhouse the towns of Metz (Cathedral and Pompidou Center) and Nancy (Art Nouveau town) is worth a stop, as well as a visit to the homelands of Joan of Arc. To the west you come in the Aube, an unknown, hilly and quiet area (known for its champagne), as our part of the Haute Marne.
By the continental climate spring and autumn are, as a general rule, mild, summers are dry and warm and winters cold. It rains here considerably less than in the UK. In the winter you can enjoy a snow scene and skiing in the nearby Vosges or Jura. In the summer you can cool off in the numerous lakes and rivers in the area.
In the countryside the authentic character of the villages is preserved. The population is friendly and there is still a real rural feeling. You come here across several small game such as deer, roe deer, foxes, wild boars, birds of prey and owls. A wonderful environment with a quietness, enough space and pure air. A stay is particularly suitable for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists.
